have we seen
any patterns of a speculation of craft-centered future?
on the face of mass production and consumption?
where do we locate this imagination and how would it shape the future?
how do we trace
luxury in the sociological perspective?

the matrix seeks to explore the changing definitions of luxury and standard goods over time, and how these definitions are influenced by factors such as globalization, resource scarcity, and shifting social values.

The matrix aims to examine the evolving definitions of luxury and standard goods over time. With the rise of mass production and global connectivity, the distinctions between luxury and standard goods have become increasingly blurred, it also considers how everyday necessities may become luxuries in the future due to overconsumption and scarcity. As consumer culture has become more globalized and interconnected, what was once considered a luxury item can quickly become a standard good due to widespread production and accessibility.
The matrix also examines how overconsumption and environmental degradation may lead to scarcity of essential resources, causing once commonplace goods to become rare and highly sought-after luxury items. In turn, this may lead to the emergence of new, alternative luxury goods that are more sustainable or ethically sourced.

In the year 2080, the world has a population of 10 billion people and has become borderless due to mass migration. Climate change has affected ecosystems and natural resources, while corporations monopolize resources and space travel leads to wealth inequality. AI and robotics have replaced jobs and increased lifespans, while acceptance of diverse cultures has led to de-gentrification and virtual communities. Urban centers dominate food production, leading to rural decline. The evolution of living systems and limited resources raises the question of how to enhance our cycle of production, consumption, and leisure
how would a more mindful future look like?
